full bore electromagnetic flow meter
The grounding method of the shell of the intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter is directly related to the measurement accuracy and stability. The signal size of the two electrodes of the intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter is relative to the potential of the fluid in the pipeline, so it is necessary to ensure that the pipeline and the flowmeter itself have a good grounding.
The general metal pipeline itself is well grounded, and the grounding wire can be omitted, but the screws to fix the flange must ensure that the pipeline and the flowmeter are fully connected. If there is strong electromagnetic interference in the environment, the grounding wire can be used independently.
If you use insulated pipes, you must install a short metal pipe or grounding ring between the intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter and the pipe, and then connect the short metal pipe or grounding ring to the flowmeter with a wire before connecting to the ground. The grounding ring is divided into three types: general grounding ring, grounding ring with neck and protective grounding ring.
1. General grounding ring
On plastic and cathodic protection tubes, grounding rings must be installed on both sides of the sensor.
General grounding ring
2. Grounding ring with neck
If the medium is highly abrasive, a necked grounding ring should be used to protect the lining.
3. Protective grounding ring
PTFE lined sensors should use protective grounding rings. It can be fixed on the flange by screws to protect the PTFE flanging from damage.
